Robbie's thoughts
Rome is the capital of Italy. It is the largest city. It is called the eternal city. Augustus was the first emperor. There are many ruins. You can climb the Spanish steps. There are many museums. The pope is from Vatican city. Michelangelo pantind the ceiling of the Sistine chapel. The colosseum is a big building where gladiates used to fight. Also Rome is one of the oldest citys in the would and Florence has a statur of David. Also Lucca is a little town with heaps of little places. Heaps of Italians like eating pasta and pizza and gelato. There are heaps of scooters in italy and they ride really fast. Also prato is a small town.

Hi Rob - wow, sounds like you are learning so many new and interesting things that you can come back and tell us here in Australia. And knowing how you remember things so well - I am excited to know all the details. Are you enjoying all the pasta and pizza? I am sure your mom is learning some yummy recipes so that she can impress Don Don and I when you are all back. Missing you guys...keep us posted as to your goings on. Lots of love Bids
ReplyDeleteHi Robbie,
ReplyDeleteThe Italians are the best cooks in the world I think! Next time you are in Florence I want you to find the best gelato ever....it is a shop called "Perche No?" I hope it is still there. Tell your Mum and Dad that this is your homework...and you must taste a few flavours!!
Have fun, love Justine
Hi Robbie
ReplyDeleteIt is great to hear you have learnt so much about Italy. You have probably learnt that poor old Michaelangelo had to lie on his back to paint the ceiling and took years to finish. Are the Italians fat from eating all that pizza, pasta and gelatos. We are expecting great Italian Food from you guys when we come and see you later in the year in Melbourne.Keep safe
